Animal House Shelter and Sanctuary is working to find homes for animals in Elko County and the surrounding area. We are committed to keeping all of our animals until they find homes, or receive the call to the great animal shelter in the sky.
Adopt-A-Rescue-Pet began in the name of "Shelter Dog Rescue," a group of individuals rescuing "purebred" dogs from the Clark County, NV area animal shelters that have "timed out." In January of 1999, Shelter Dog Rescue had grown into an organization to include volunteers rescuing cats, ferrets, rabbits, and pond fish, in addition to all breeds, mixes, ages, etc. of dogs needing a second chance at finding a loving home. In ARP, as a non-profit public charity, our goals are to assist rescuers of animals with needed funds to cover medical, boarding, care, and needs of animals which would otherwise be euthanized for lack of service available to them.
I save Samoyeds (pure and mixed) from the shelter or I take in unwanted samoyeds from owners. I foster these sweet and loving dogs until they are adopted. In many cases, these are not show quality or pure bred dogs. Sometimes, their past is unknown. They need a new start in life. Could you be that forever home they are looking for? Who Am I? I'm a lover of samoyeds who has been saving dogs since July 1997. I am affiliated with Samoyed Rescue Alliance. (find out more at www.samoyedrescue.com) I also am a member of the group "Adopt A Rescue Pet " in Las Vegas.
We run strictly on volunteer-power (there is no paid staff) and we rely on kind-hearted people to assist us with donations to continue our life work. All donations and adoption fees go toward the care of our dogs - spay/neuter, vaccinations, veterinary expenses, fostering, grooming, transport and screening homes for the schnauzers in our care that are waiting to find loving homes. Schnauzers come into SNSR for a variety of reasons. They come from shelters, off the streets, and from owners who could no longer care for their little ones. Our goal is to place our furry friends in "forever homes" where they will live a safe, loving and secure life, receiving the love and care they deserve.
Southwest Cairn Rescue is a regional organization dedicated to rescuing, fostering, and placing homeless Cairn Terriers into suitable and caring life-long homes. We are committed to educating current and prospective owners on the special needs and temperament of Cairn Terriers in order to promote responsible ownership and to prevent future displaced terriers.
