Angel Acres Animal Rescue is a certified 501(c)3 nonprofit organization located in the west county area. We are dedicated to the rescue of homeless and unwanted animals and strive to place them in suitable, loving homes. We believe that pets are an important part of the family and should be treated with kindness, love and respect. We are a small, home-based operation and as such we are personally involved with every animal we have available. They are treated as members of our family until a "forever home" is found and we expect to stay in touch and build lasting friendships with all our adopters in the years to come. Because of our personal commitment to all the animals, we prefer to not adopt outside the St. Louis area unless under very special circumstances.

The Aussie Rescue and Placement Helpline, Inc. (ARPH) is a not-for-profit organization comprised of volunteers who are dedicated to the Australian Shepherd breed. ARPH's mission is to rescue Australian Shepherds and place them into loving, caring, and permanent homes, and to educate the public about all aspects of owning an Australian Shepherd. ARPH's rescue efforts are supported largely by donations from those who love the breed, including donations from the Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA), its Affiliate Clubs, and other Australian Shepherd groups and organizations.

Pet Angels is a group of volunteers who love dogs and spend our spare time and personal dollars helping dogs in need. Some help by fostering, some by posting dogs in need and homeless dogs for other shelters, some by looking for "match" dogs for people looking for a specific description dog, and some help by picking up shelter dogs and transporting them to new homes. None get reimbursed for their services, but the happy wag of a tail is reward enough when a dog finally makes it from that scared little orphaned dog into a happy home of it's own.
Founded in 2000, we are a St. Louis based organization whose primary concern lies with the overpopulation and unnecessary suffering of domestic animals in our community. We are dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, socialization and placement of homeless, abandoned and/or abused/neglected cats, dogs, kittens, and puppies. At our West County shelter, we provide a safe, secure, and healthy environment to pets waiting for loving and caring adoptive homes. In addition, we are committed to promoting better care and understanding of animals through education with an emphasis on the importance of spaying and neutering. Country Acres Rescue does not euthanize unless a serious medical or behavioral problem exists. Country Acres Rescue receives no government funding. We are entirely dependent on adoption fees and charitable donations from people like you.
Farmington Pet Adoption Center is a private, non-profit, no-kill animal shelter. Our Mission is to give homeless animals a second chance through rescue, shelter and adoption.

Gateway Pet Guardians is dedicated to rescuing homeless pets in the St. Louis area, getting them great veterinary care, and finding them forever homes. We are a virtual shelter with all of our pets waiting for adoption in the care of volunteer foster families. Donations are always greatly appreciated and are used to provide veterinary care for our foster pets, some of whom have been badly injured by automobile accidents, cruelty, neglect, or life on the street.
Founded by two Kansas dog lovers who faced dozens of homeless pit bulls daily that had to be turned away for lack of space and funding, Kansas Pit Bull Rescue was formed to assist pit bull type dogs in high-kill animal control facilities in the Midwest. With significant help from supporters and donors, KPR placed over a hundred needy Pit Bulls into responsible forever homes. As we met more local bully lovers, KPR expanded and created Mid-America Bully Breed Rescue We are an all volunteer run foster home network. With hard work, dedication, and charitable donations, we believe MABBR will have a tremendous impact on the bully breed dogs in the Midwest. Our mission is to responsibly place abandoned Incredi-Bulls into forever homes, promote responsible dog ownership, promote breed-neutral dog policies, and educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering pets. MABBR has joined forces with several other non-profit groups in the Midwest that support similar goals. Together we expect to more effectively raise awareness on these issues.

Partners For Pets volunteers regularly visit rural animal shelters and rescue animals that have used up their time, need medical care and/or are too fragile for shelter life. Partners for Pets provides care to each animal prior to adoption. including:: booster shots, worming, heartworm check, and monthly preventative, rabies shot, spay/neuter, grooming, flea/tick prevention, and other necessary care. Veterinary care is provided at reduced cost through Horseshoe Lake Animal Hospital and St. Louis Pet Clinic. About 5% of the animals are kept in foster care until adopted while the other 95% are kept in a shelter environment until they are adopted. Adoptions take place at PETsMART in Glen Carbon, IL and Florissant, MO.

The mission of the MABTR is to rescue and re-home abandoned Boston Terriers and to persuade those interested in purchasing a dog, to “adopt, and not shop”, meaning to not purchase a dog or puppy from a puppy mill, or puppy mill-supplied pet store, but instead, to adopt a homeless dog to save a life."
