The Aussie Rescue and Placement Helpline,
Inc. (ARPH) is a not-for-profit organization
comprised of volunteers who are dedicated to
the Australian Shepherd breed.

ARPH's mission is to rescue Australian
Shepherds and place them into loving,
caring, and permanent homes, and to
educate the public about all aspects of
owning an Australian Shepherd.

ARPH's rescue efforts are supported largely
by donations from those who love the breed,
including donations from the Australian
Shepherd Club of America (ASCA), its
Affiliate Clubs, and other Australian
Shepherd groups and organizations.
"Great Lakes Mastiff Rescue, Inc.(GLMR)
exists to place stray or abandoned
English Mastiffs in adoptive homes
which will provide a high level of care
and where the spirit of the
GLMR Code of Ethics is observed.
The Rescue / Placement Service may assist
Mastiff owners, who for any reason,
can no longer provide a home
for their Mastiff."
The Friends of Genesee County Animal
Shelter Volunteer Group was formed in
April 2007, the result of a single volunteer
who believed the animals who were once
loved by the people of Genesee County
deserved better odds at a lifetime of
happiness.

Becki decided to take on the task of
"getting the word out" for these
unfortunate animals. She formed the
Friends of Genesee County Animal Shelter
volunteer group, counting on the many pet
lovers in the county to rally behind and
with her to help.
Hawkeye & Friends is a non-profit animal
rescue. We are dedicated to saving abused,
abandoned and neglected
companion animals.

Hawkeye & Friends is a no-kill rescue,
which means we do not put animals to sleep
because they are hurt, sick or old.
We provide all necessary medical care &
treatment. We give our animals the care &
love they need while we look for
permanent homes for them.
The animals we do not find homes for
stay with us for the rest of their lives.
No need to wait for a "Senior Citizen Day"
each month to get a bargain at the Shelter.
Every day is special for senior citizens
and senior animals at MAS.
There is NO CHARGE to senior citizens
for adopting senior animals.
Any day of the week.
Any day of the month.

The Shelter considers residents that are
four years or older as seniors and they
qualify for free adoptions.
Because of the negative publicity the media
and many others have created
about pit bulls,
a new form of legislation has been
implemented and it has affected
many families.
BSL (Breed Specific Legislation) has spread
like a virus through many communities.

Millions of dogs are brought into shelters
and humane society’s every day.
The majority of these dogs are euthanized
because they are deemed unadoptable.
Pit Bulls are the first to be euthanized
because of their reputation; many other
bully breeds follow in their footsteps.
Because I am the proud owner of a pit bull,
I have taken it upon myself to devote my
time and energy to stop BSL and to
educate everyone on this breed
and how and why BSL does not work.
Pawz 4 Life Animal Rescue, Inc. is a
small group of volunteers with big hearts.
We feel rescuing and saving the lives of
animals in need, truly is what
we were born to do.
All of us here have several years of
experience helping the innocent animals who
cannot speak for themselves.
We felt it was our time to join together with
one another to fight this battle against
unwanted, abused & neglected cats and dogs.
All of the animals that come into our rescue
will receive vet care, basic training,
rehabilitation (if needed), and
are fostered in individual homes,
not a shelter or kennel type environment.
We feel this is a much better way to
socialize the animal and prepare them for
their new home.

Pawz 4 Life Animal Rescue Inc. helps with
strays, owner surrenders, and also pulls
from shelters and animal controls here in
Michigan. We are more than willing to help
with any breed, purebreds or mixes
and we do serve all of Michigan.
Shelter to Home, Inc. is an animal rescue
organization that works to save impounded
animals by placing them into a
home foster care setting until permanent
and loving homes can be found.

Goals: To find loving and permanent homes
for adoptable animals from
shelter/pound facilities

To further reduce the unnecessary
euthanasia of healthy, adoptable
animals in shelter facilities

To further reduce the overpopulation of
animals in the Downriver area by assisting
in the rescue and placement of
impounded animals

To inform and educate citizens about
responsible, humane treatment of
companion pets and the importance of
spay/neuter procedures,
programs and policies
It is the mission of Mid Michigan Boxer
Rescue  To rescue and rehabilitate the
Boxers that others have failed,
the unwanted,
the unloved and the abandoned.
To carefully choose their forever homes
based on the best match between
the dogs and their new families.
To provide complete medical care.
To do our best to know the temperament
of each dog in order to know
the best placement option.
To offer support following adoption.
To educated the public about the Boxer
Breed; and the importance of
spay/neutering.
To promote the importance of
positive reinforcement training.
To network with other reputable boxer
rescues in order to maximize our
effectiveness. To always care, but to
recognize our limitations.
Pet Angels is a group of volunteers
who love dogs and spend our spare time
and personal dollars helping dogs in need.
Some help by fostering,
some by posting dogs in need and
homeless dogs for other shelters,
some by looking for "match" dogs for
people looking for a
specific description dog,
and some help by picking up shelter dogs
and transporting them to new homes.
None get reimbursed for their services,
but the happy wag of a tail is
reward enough when a dog finally makes
it from that scared little orphaned dog into
a happy home of it's own.
Save A Stray is an all volunteer
organization dedicated to the
rescue and rehoming of homeless
cats and dogs.
We also have a very strong commitment
to reducing the pet overpopulation
through support of low cost spay/neuter
initiatives and altering each pet
who comes through our doors.

It is each and every volunteer's personal
goal to insure that every stray cat or dog
we come in contact with has a better life
as a result of that contact.
