"Great Lakes Mastiff Rescue,
Inc.(GLMR) exists to place stray or
abandoned
English Mastiffs in adoptive homes
which will provide a high level of care
and where the spirit of the
GLMR Code of Ethics is observed.
The Rescue / Placement Service may
assist Mastiff owners, who for any
reason,
can no longer provide a home
for their Mastiff."
The Home For Friendless Animals is a
not-for-profit no-kill
shelter and adoption facility providing
a loving refuge for
stray and abandoned dogs and cats.
The Home For Friendless Animals was
incorporated in 1943.

The Home For friendles Animals is
a lot of work, laughter and tears.
It's also a wonderfully rewarding place for
those of us fortunate enough to be part of it.
The dogs and cats we care for are
our reason for being here
and the inspiration for all that we do.
We are a no kill rescue
that is striving to rescue
as many pets as we possibly can
and place them in forever homes!
Not having a physical building
for our pet rescue has
not slowed us down in the least!!
All of our adorable adoptables
are in wonderful foster homes
throughout our area,
where we love, care for and house
stray pets and pets doomed at
kill shelters, until we can find them
forever homes.
Our ultimate goal is:
No More Homeless Pets!
Pet Angels is a group of volunteers
who love dogs and spend our spare time and
personal dollars helping dogs in need.
Some help by fostering,
some by posting dogs in need and
homeless dogs for other shelters,
some by looking for "match" dogs for
people looking for a specific description dog,
and some help by picking up shelter dogs
and transporting them to new homes.
None get reimbursed for their services,
but the happy wag of a tail is
reward enough when a dog finally makes it
from that scared little orphaned dog into
a happy home of it's own.
The Pet Jamboree All Breed Rescue is an
all-volunteer rescue effort.
Here at The Pet Jamboree, we open our
homes and dedicate our lives to helping
homeless animals everywhere.
We take in every type of animal from young
and cuddly puppies and kittens to elderly or
sick animals who just need a chance
to find a little happiness.
All of our animals come from shelters and
other situations where they are
unwanted and in need of rescue.

Blackford County Animal Shelter
Hartford City
The Blackford County Animal Shelter, Inc.
is a non-profit organization.
We provide animal control for
Blackford County, Hartford City,
Montpelier, and Shamrock Lakes.
Our mission is to prevent cruelty and
neglect to homeless, abandoned, and
unwanted animals by adopting
healthy animals to good homes.
We are a very rescue friendly shelter and
can often help with transports.
We want to involve the community in our
efforts to care for the animals.
Mixed Up Mutts is committed to taking the
joys and benefits of dog rescue full circle,
from people helping pets to pets helping
people and back again.
We work to give both pets and people a
second chance by building relationships on
trust, love and respect.

Mixed Up Mutts is a both a rescue
organization and a training center.
We find troubled dogs in Chicagoland and
Northwest Indiana and bring them to the
Westville Correctional Facility.
There, they are partnered with a inmate
who is a certified dog handler for 4-8 weeks
of 24 hour-a-day care, attention and
obedience training.

Mixed Up Mutts’ staff tests and certifies
each of our graduating dogs and works to
find them new homes.
Families get loving pets,
dogs get new homes, offenders learn
new skills, and our circle begins again.
