At Heartsong Animal Rescue, our services
for rehabilitation are centered on homeopathic
wellness, excellent veterinary care,
and behavior modification and training.
We work with animals who have been
neglected, abused, are injured, aged,
and/or have behavioral problems.
The rescues we take in are tested and
treated for injuries and illnesses prior
to being placed in new homes.
They are also vaccinated and altered.
We work very hard to litter train, housebreak,
and otherwise socialize the animals
so when they enter their new home,
they do so confidently and with
as little trauma as possible.
We are not your run of the mill shelter.
We believe in readying the animal
for its new environment and therefore some of the
animals arewith us for an extended period.
Donations allow us to continue the good work we do,
and allow us to maintain the quality of care and
rehabilitation these animals deserve
.
Our purpose is to help find neglected and
orphaned animals loving homes.
We work with the Murray-Calloway
County Animal Shelter,
along with other local volunteers to help foster
out these animals and find them good homes.
All of our animal rescues come from the
Murray-Calloway County animal shelter
or near by kill shelters.
We rescue the animal the day that
they are going to euthanize it,
get it up to date on all shots, wormed,
tested, and spayed/neutered
and try to find it a loving home.
Sometimes they just need a little more time.

To help reunite lost pets with their
owners, to educate about how to

still looking and hoping.
An incorporated, not-for-profit
Pet Adoption Facility and Education Center.
Our mission is to rescue dogs from euthanasia
at local animal control shelters.
When entering the shelter,
we first meet the dogs who
have a “death date.”
If we believe we can find the dog a good home,
we pull the dog into our organization.
We provide our dogs food, housing, love,
attention and any necessary rehabilitation.
Our dogs receive full veterinarian care
and are spay/neutered
Meanwhile, we work to find these orphaned
dogs a loving, permanent home.

We also work directly with individuals who
have specific qualifications they are seeking
in an animal companion.
As we go into local animal control shelters,
we look for a dog who has these characteristics
and we also contact other rescue groups.
The AWC's started as a group of
neighbors and concerned citizens
who wanted to help animals in and around
Oakhurst and Kirkwood
The group continued to grow, and in September
2006, we became a 501(c)3 non-profit organization
The summer of 2006 also marked the addition of
the East Atlanta Village (EAVAWC)
to the growing list of in-town AWC’S

Our group has worked diligently and has
accomplished a great deal in a short time to
help our furry residents.
Ongoing efforts by the AWC’s include
monitoring proper treatment of all pets
in the neighborhood, educating pet owners and
working to rescue, foster, adopt out or
trap-fix-release strays in the area.
Georgia Heartland Humane Society
was founded in 1996
based on the concept that
"All life is sacred" and that
companion animals have a right to a
pain free and peaceful existence.
Dedicated to this theory, Georgia
Heartland strives to end the suffering of
companion animals in our community
by rescuing abused, abandoned, and
unwanted animals and giving them the
chance to find loving and permanent
homes of their own.
The Aussie Rescue and Placement
Helpline, Inc. (ARPH) is a not-for-profit
organization comprised of volunteers who
are dedicated to the Australian Shepherd
breed.

ARPH's mission is to rescue Australian
Shepherds and place them into loving,
caring, and permanent homes, and to
educate the public about all aspects of
owning an Australian Shepherd.

ARPH's rescue efforts are supported
largely by donations from those who love
the breed, including donations from the
Australian Shepherd Club of America
(ASCA), its Affiliate Clubs, and other
Australian Shepherd groups and
organizations.
STARS is represented by an all
volunteer Board of Directors.
We all have full time jobs and families to care for
That does not stop us from finding some time
to spend trying to save as many pets as possible!

We are a very small group of foster homes,
specializing in all-breed dog rescue.
We strongly believe in educating the public on
responsible pet care, safety,
and spaying and neutering.

We foster and promote the general welfare of
animals by caring for homeless animals in our
community and work in conjunction with
local shelters and other rescue groups.

Our goals are to provide a safe haven for
rescued animals or animals given up by their
owners;
and to provide the best possible adoptions of
available animals into the home best suited
to their personalities.
